Plywood (Finnish Birch, Ceiba, Poplar)

Our Finnish birch, ceiba and poplar types of plywood stand out due to their strength. The base material is wood - a sustainable raw material and thus a material with environmental certification. The properties of plywood are so unique that no other material can replace it. The type and number of wood layers determine the specific strength properties. Plywood is used where thin cross-sections are required in spite of a high load. It has clear advantages over particle board in terms of strength, compressive strength and dimensional stability.

Finnish birch/model aircraft plywood

Plywood from Finnish birch meets the highest requirements. With a weight of approximately 700kg/m³ it is the heaviest of our types of plywood. Unique stability is achieved with up to 12 layers. Our Finnish birch plywood is bonded with tego film and thus protected against moisture.

This plywood is also available with a bright, laser-capable bonding.

Ceiba/plywood for modelling

With a weight of approximately 350kg/m³, the reddish ceiba plywood is only around half the weight of Finnish birch. Its lightness makes it very popular for building model boats and model aircraft in particular. Ceiba plywood is often used in table tennis rackets as well.

The IF20 bonding means it is only suitable for use indoors with a normal low level of air humidity.

Poplar plywood

Poplar plywood has a weight of approximately 350kg/m³, the same as ceiba plywood. It is however considerably brighter.
Poplar plywood is used in furniture and caravan construction for example and also for building purposes.

The IF20 bonding means it is only suitable for use indoors with a normal low level of air humidity.
